Over 80 Percent Students Qualify JKBOSE Class 10 Exams

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on Wednesday declared the results of the Class 10 annual regular examination with an overall pass percentage of 79.94.

As per official figures, girl students have once again outperformed boys. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 81.24 percent, while boys achieved 78.74 percent.

A total of 1,45,671 students were enrolled for the examination, of which 1,16,453 students qualified.

Among those who passed, 16,343 students secured A1 grade, 18,678 got A2, 22,219 secured B1, 27,171 got B2, 25,583 secured C1, and 6,432 students received C2 grade. Forty-nine students were placed in grade D.

The data further shows that one student had disputed eligibility, three were booked for using unfair means, 40 students had their exams cancelled, five students were disqualified for two years, and one student was disqualified for three years.

Earlier, BOSE officials said a total of 3,55,963 students had registered for the Class 10, 11, and 12 annual regular examinations. This included 1,32,992 students in Class 10, 1,20,673 in Class 11, and 1,02,298 in Class 12.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo had earlier directed the Board to declare the results by April 30.

BOSE had also announced that the results for Class 10 and Class 12 would be declared on the same day. (KNO)
