The yatra commenced from Reasi on August 21 and passed through Arnas, Dharmari, Mahore, Sungri, Chassana and Sarsote before the pilgrims reached Kousar Nag Sarovar on August 23. Upon reaching the sacred lake, the devotees performed pooja and other religious rituals as per tradition.

From Sarsote, the pilgrims undertook an approximately three-day trek to Kousar Nag Sarovar, passing through Sari, Gorwan and Kousar Gali. Given the difficult terrain and remote stretches, the district administration deployed personnel from the Police, NDRF, Mountain Rescue Team (MRT), Health Department and other agencies along the route.

The arrangements were monitored under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek, while the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mahore, was designated overall in-charge of the yatra arrangements. Duty Magistrates were deployed at strategic locations to coordinate the pilgrimage and respond to any emergency.

Medical teams, ambulances and essential medicines were stationed at various points along the route to provide assistance to pilgrims, particularly in remote and difficult stretches.

The administration also arranged food, shelter, drinking water, electricity and other essential facilities at Sari, which is around eight hours on foot from the nearest motorable road.

The administration appreciated the cooperation extended by the devotees, local stakeholders and all departments and agencies involved in ensuring the safe and smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
