Salman Irshad, 22, is a new pacer who has got attention in Australia by his impressive performance.

Hailing from Pakistan administered Kashmir, Salman, had an impressive debut in Australia’s domestic cricket circuit with a five-wicket haul.

First spotted by PSL franchise Lahore Qalanders during a talent hunt programme in PaK in September this year, he was appreciated for his raw pace by former Pakistan bowler and Qalandars’ Director Cricket Operations Aaqib  Javed.

Constant with his pace, the reports reveal that “he has constantly bowled at speeds of 144kmph” during the trials and was among 17 players selected as part of the Jazz Rising Stars programme by Lahore Qalandars.

Irshad was signed by the Australian cricket club Hawkesbury, during Qalandars Rising Stars recent tour to Australia.

He  made his debut with an impressive five-wicket haul on Saturday, restricting  University of New South Wales to 189 runs for 7 wickets in NSW premier cricket, with bowling figures of 14-4-46-5.
