In a dreadful incident, a pack of dogs Monday morning pounced on four civilians in North Kashmir’s Uri and left them badly wounded.

Locals from Uri’s Nambla area where the incident took place told Kashmir Life: “A pack of army dogs from Gunpoint area of Uri’s Nambla attacked the four persons and left them badly wounded.”

Among the wounded is 60-year-old Hafeeza begum of Sheikh Mohalla in Uri’s Nambla. She was critically wounded and has been shifted to Baramulla for a proper treatment.

The other three injured including Zahida Nanu (30), Parvez Ahmad (15) and Rashid Ahmad.

“Despite our repeated requests to army to keep pack of dogs inside Gunpoint army camp to prevent the possible attack on civilians, no action was ever taken,” rued Farooq Ahmad, son of injured Hafeeza begum.
