In a shocking case of sexual exploitation by a paedophile librarian of a private school in Baramulla, dozens of minor girls between the age group of nine to sixteen were molested for months. What is more shocking is the principle and owner of the school administration of Faizan Public School in Baramulla was knowing it all, as per parents.
A nine year-old-girl, class fourth student, was sexually molested more than five times inside the school premises of Faizan Public School in Sheerwani Colony area Baramulla, following which the Baramulla police on Tuesday arrested the librarian of the private school, Shabir Ahmad War.
The school, which is owned by former Chief education officer of Baramulla, Ghulam Mohammad Malik, had been shielding the culprit from last many months, despite complaints from the parents against the accused.
The accused, Shabir War, is former head librarian of the district libraries Baramulla, who after retiring from the government service joined the private school in Khawaja Bagh area.
“My daughter surprisingly refused to go to school recently. After I insisted with her what the matter was. She said that Shabir Sir had been insisting with her to come to the hall of the School and in many instance he closed the door and molested her in the bathroom,” Parveena (name changed), who went to the School of her daughter on Tuesday with a complain but was left shocked when the school administration “threatened” her with dire consequences if she complains against the School.
Following which Parveena went straight to Baramulla police station and lodged a complaint against the school and the teacher. The SHO Baramulla immediately sent a team of police personnel and arrested the accused librarian.
“My daughter who studies in 8th class was continuously harassed by Shabir Ahmad War, two days back when he took her to his room and started undressing her. She started screaming, a teacher entered the room and the accused fled from the office,” father of sexually assaulted girl, told Kashmir Life.
After the arrest of the accused, the parents whose children are admitted in the school have demanded the immediate arrest of the owner of the school for shielding the culprit for many a times despite complaints against him.
“Malik, the owner told me that my nine-year-old daughter has to swear on Koran whether the incident really happened at all. When I told him what my daughter had told me, he was still unmoved. That is the reason I went police,” Parveena said.
“The owner, according to Parveena, tried to get some influential people in the area to hush up the matter, but I straightaway went to police,” she said.
Meanwhile Baramulla police has booked the accused librarian with FIR No 762015 under Sec 354. The offense carries minimum 3 years of imprisonment, and maximum upto 7 years, including fine.
This is shocking incident if its stated to be true the culprit should be booked behind bars. Rest the owner of the institute is not that type of man he is following Islam in real sense he was my teacher I know him he can never support such criminal nor can hide his crimes.so need of the hour to conduct proper enquiry if the culprit did such henious crime should be booked and sevier punishment should be given.
