SRINAGAR: Chennai-based entertainment start-up Jadooz that has been running mini-cinema halls in Shopian and Pulwama for the last 10 months are opening mini-theatres in Baramulla, Handwara and Bandipore. The company is planning one in Beetab Valley of Pahlgam.
Jadooz MD Rahul Nehra told The Hindu newspaper that a screen would finally come to Betaab Valley in Pahalgam, to celebrate the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh starrer’s 40th anniversary. Part of the 1983-film was a shot in this valley and the spot was latter named after the film.
The company plans mini-theatre opening at a three other places by the end of June 2023.
The expansion decision , according to newspaper was taken after the company assessed the footfalls in Pulwama dn Shopian’s mini-theatres in last 10 months.
