SRINAGAR: Pakistan defeated England by one wicket in a dramatic finish at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday to secure a place in the final of the Pakistan ODI Tri-Series 2026.
Chasing 242 for victory, Pakistan recovered from a collapse that left them struggling at 154 for nine, with Shadab Khan scoring an unbeaten 113 off 96 balls to steer the hosts to 243 for nine in 47.1 overs, with 17 balls to spare.
Shadab shared an unbroken 89-run partnership for the final wicket with Haris Rauf, who remained unbeaten on seven, to complete the remarkable chase.
Earlier, England were bowled out for 241 in 46.4 overs despite Ben Duckett’s 105. Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi led the bowling attack, taking four wickets for 36 runs.
The victory marked Pakistan’s second win over England in the tournament, following their 87-run triumph in Rawalpindi earlier in the week.
