SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha asserted that security forces are fully capable of thwarting any attempt to undermine peace in Jammu and Kashmir, saying Pakistan is intent on sustaining terrorism in the Union Territory.

Addressing a gathering here, he said: “Despite being a failed state, Pakistan sponsors terror and continues to attempt to disturb peace by pushing in terrorists.”
He added: “Our security forces have always foiled the enemy’s designs and are capable of countering all such actions.”
The Lieutenant Governor reinforced that “the enemy will not be allowed to plan any misadventure, and any attempt will be met with a befitting reply.”
“The security policy in Jammu and Kashmir is clear—everything will be done to maintain peace and order. Peace is a prerequisite for development,” he said.
He praised the armed forces, police and intelligence agencies for maintaining security and ensuring a peaceful environment in the Union Territory. (KNO)
