The former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah on Wednesday took a jibe against Prime Minister Modi and his party (BJP) after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said if BJP wins the election some kind of settlement could be reached.

Imran Khan in an interview with some foreign journalists has said that “Perhaps if the BJP – a right-wing party – wins, some kind of settlement in Kashmir could be reached.” Else the BJP in their election campaign has repeatedly said that Pakistan never wants BJP to win again.

“So much for Modi Sahib telling the country only Pakistan & its sympathisers want BJP to lose. Imran Khan has just endorsed him for a 2nd term,” Omar tweeted.
