Bipin Rawat, the Chief of the Indian Army says Pakistan knows they will not succeed in Kashmir but is keeping the pot boiling taking the terror route. Rawat was talking to reporters in Delhi on the sidelines of a function to commemorate the Infantry Day, the day army landed in Srinagar.

Rawat, according to the Indian Express said that Pakistan was using terror to keep the pot boiling in Jammu and Kashmir since it was well aware they could never succeed. Accusing the neighbouring country of trying to stall development in the state, Rawat warned that India was strong enough to counter Pakistan’s evil designs and capable of carrying out “different operations”. He, however, offered no explanations for the other options he talked about.

“They want to stall development in Kashmir but Indian state is strong enough to counter everything, and we are fully capable of carrying out different operations,” ANI quoted the Army chief as saying. Rawat made the remarks after paying tribute at the Amar Jawan Jyoti in the national capital to mark Infantry Day.
