Sources said that, the firing targeted forward Indian positions, prompting a strong and effective retaliation by the Indian Army.

It is the first ceasefire violation after India launched Operation Sindoor from 6-10 May in response to the Pahalgam militant attack.

They said that no casualties were reported on the Indian side. (KNC)
