SRINAGAR: A Pakistani national, who was apprehended by the Army in the border village of Karmara in Poonch district last week, was repatriated to Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) through the Chakkan Da Bagh Line of Control (LoC) crossing on Wednesday.
The individual, identified as Mohammad Sajjad, son of Mohammad Rafiq and a resident of Polas village in Abbaspur tehsil, Pakistan, was handed over to the Pakistani authorities on July 2.
Quoting officials news agency GNS reported that Sajjad was apprehended by the Army on June 26, 2026, after he crossed into the bordering village of Karmara in Poonch district.
The Chakkan Da Bagh LoC crossing remained open from 4:30 PM to 4:50 PM to facilitate the repatriation process.
The repatriation was carried out in accordance with the established procedures at the LoC crossing point.
