SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah held last-minute discussions with party leaders on Friday to finalise the National Conference’s (NC) strategy for the ongoing Rajya Sabha elections, with a particular focus on securing crucial votes from independent MLAs.

The chief minister also shared images from his office on social media platform X, giving a rare glimpse of the behind-the-scenes planning. “Behind the scenes in my office in the assembly complex while we work out the arithmetic and strategy of the Rajya Sabha polls,” he wrote.

The discussions, held at the chief minister’s office in the Assembly complex, involved NC and alliance members working out the arithmetic for the four Upper House seats from Jammu and Kashmir, where voting is currently underway.
In a different tweet from the same sitting, CM credited the food as the source of sustenance.

Voting for the four Rajya Sabha seats have concluded and the counting of the votes is expected to begin later in the evening.
