On the day Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, visited Kashmir, clashes and aerial firing incidents happened in volatile North Kashmir’s Palhallan.
Witnesses said that youth clashes with forces in the area while forces resorted to aerial firing and tear gas shelling. “Youth resorted to stone pelting on the vehicles which were carrying people for PM Modi rally after which forces interrupted and clashes ensued,” the witnesses said.
Hurriyat octogenarian, Syed Ali Geelani had called for ‘Srinagar Million March’ which was disallowed by the government.
Protests were going on when this report was being filed.
