Srinagar

Doctors at the SMHS hospital took swabs from a paramilitary man for Coronavirus testing after he complained of cough and fever, hospital officials said.

“We do not have any patient admitted and no suspected is with us,” one senior doctor said. “A paramilitary man approached the hospital with fever and cough and his swabs were taken for the test. The samples were sent to the SKIMS.”

The paramilitary man, recently shifted from Delhi, was posted around the quarantine facility that is operational in Delhi for the last two months. No patient from the facility tested positive for the Coronavirus.

The ITBP man who was driven to the hospital by his unit took him along. They have their own facility somewhere around Pantha Chowk where they have a quarantine facility as well. He was accompanied by an official of the paramilitary force, who was not found eligible for test, officials said.
