SRINAGAR: PARAS Health Srinagar, in collaboration with The Villa Himalaya, Kullan, organised a mega multi-speciality health camp in Sonmarg, providing free specialist consultations and preventive healthcare services to nearly 100 patients as part of its outreach programme to improve access to medical care in remote areas.
The camp, held on June 27 from 10 am to 3 pm, brought together specialists from four key medical disciplines, enabling residents of the region to receive expert consultations closer to home.
Beneficiaries also underwent free blood pressure monitoring, random blood sugar (RBS) testing and received personalised health counselling aimed at promoting early diagnosis and preventive healthcare.
Hospital officials said the initiative was part of PARAS Health Srinagar’s continued efforts to bridge healthcare gaps by extending specialist medical services to underserved communities across Jammu and Kashmir.
They said the outreach programme is intended to improve health outcomes while reducing the need for patients in remote areas to travel long distances for specialised treatment.
According to hospital officials, the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to providing quality, affordable and accessible healthcare, ensuring that geographical challenges do not become a barrier to timely medical attention.
The officials added that PARAS Health Srinagar will continue organising similar community outreach programmes across the region to strengthen preventive healthcare and improve access to specialist medical services in far-flung areas.
