A PDD employee was shot at by unknown gunmen in Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday evening.
Official sources said that a PDD daily wager employee identified as Latif Ahmad Ganai, a resident of Nowpora Amlar Awantipora has been shot at leg by the unknown gunmen. The injured man was soon rushed to Awantipora hospital for the treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident and further investigations are going on.
Police Version
Militants in the evening today fired upon one individual identified as Lateef Ahmad at Amlar area of Tral.
In this incident, the individual sustained gunshot wounds and was evacuated to nearby hospital for medical treatment where his condition is stated to be stable.
Police officers have reached the spot and are ascertaining the facts of the matter.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigations in the matter has been initiated.
