A PDD casual laborer died while another was injured at two different places in Budgam while repairing the electric lines, police said on Tuesday.
A 25 years old PDD casual labourer Lateef Ahmed Bhat son of Abdul Rashid resident of Soibugh, Budgam was electrocuted while repairing a transmission line. He was shifted to SMHS, Srinagar for treatment, where he expired. A case has been registered in this regard. The body has been handed over his relatives for last rites.
Meanwhile, another PDD daily wager Sajad Ahmed Khan son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Khanpora Khag received electric shock while repairing transfer at village Sugan, Budgam, in the jurisdiction of police station Khag. He was has been shifted to JVC Bemina Srinagar for treatment.
