Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has hailed the Supreme Court’s observation on internet restoration in Jammu and Kashmir, demanding that internet services must be restored across J&K without any further delay.

According to the PDP spokesman, party’s senior leader Hameed Choudhary while welcoming the SC observation has highlighted how the internet gag has been wreaking havoc upon the business establishments, students and journalists in Jammu and Kashmir at large.

He added that while the online businesses have reached at the brink of slough of despond due to the suspension of internet services, thousands of students in Jammu and Kashmir have been plunged into perturbation due to not being able to apply for any scholarships, avail admissions in country’s various colleges and universities via the online mode.

He added that the tourist arrival also has been witnessing a dreadful dip due to the suspension of internet and the journalistic fraternity too is bearing the brunt of this government decision since August 5.

Choudhary, as per the spokesman, has expressed hope that the government will implement top court’s directions without further delay so that the perturbed people of Jammu and Kashmir could heave a sigh of relief.

The PDP leader has further reiterated the demand for the release of all political leaders in Jammu and Kashmir and has pitched for the restoration of the political activities at an earliest.
