A day after PDP motorcade was attacked by unknown stone-pelters in South Kashmir’s Shopian town, police Friday said that it is minutely observing the video footage taken by them during the incident. Police also said that it is also checking the video clips and trying to identify the ‘law-breakers’ who attacked BJP vehicles in the main market Shopian.

Superintendent of Police Shopian Showkat Ahmed said that police is analyzing the video footage and trying to identify the culprits who attacked BJP and PDP cavalcade. “Anyone irrespective of his political affiliation or position is subject to legal action if found guilty. So far, we have not arrested anyone but police would soon make arrests in this regard,” he said.

Pertinently, the motorcade of Peoples Democratic Party patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed was Thursday stoned by some people in Shopian town while people also attacked the cavalcade of BJP’s candidate for Islamabad Parliamentary constituency. (CNS)
