A high-level delegation of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by its Vice President Abdul Rahman Veeri on Thursday called on state Governor Satya Pal Malik and underscored the need for fulfillment of the commitments made by the PDP led regime in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per the party spokesman,  besides Veeri, others who were part of the delegation were PDP General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Abdul Haq Khan,  Nizamuddin Bhat, Mohammad Khalil Bandh, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Mohammad Khurshid Alam, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, and Mohammad Yousuf Bhat.

The PDP leadership brought into governor’s notice the issues pertaining to the state of Jammu and Kashmir and measures needed to improve development and giving people real protection besides the basic facilities.

They highlighted the need to resolve the issues related to the regularisation of casual labourers in the state and the tourism and floriculture graduates under skill development scheme.

The delegation also stressed for the need to fulfill the commitments made by the previous government in the state and particularly commitments made by the Chief Minister during Public Darbars.

They also pitched completion of pending projects in the state and sought Governor’s immediate attention towards the need of executing the projects that have been either kept in limbo or going on at snail’s pace.
