SRINAGAR: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has felicitated the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a message, PDP spokesman has wished the people peace, progress, prosperity, and happiness and hoped that this occasion would be a harbinger of communal harmony, brotherhood, and amity.
He said that Eid was an occasion to rededicate ourselves to the teachings of Islam and preaching of Prophet(SAW). PDP spokesman also appealed to the people to observe austerity and extend help to the poor and needy on Eid who are bearing the brunt of lockdown imposed due to the spread of COVID -19.
Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Conference senior vice president Abdul Gani Vakil on extended warm greeting to the people.
“On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to people of the state. May this Eid be the harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity and strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood in our state,” Vakil said in his statement
“Eid also embeds the message of remembering economically downtrodden and underprivileged people who are worst affected by the COVID-19 lockdown. We appeal people to make them part of the Eid Celebration by extending financial & other support to them. The party also urged the people to avoid wastage of food and resources and be conscious towards their neighbors, orphans and the needy,” he further added.
