In a post on X, Mehbooba said more than 12,000 qualified paramedical and allied health graduates have been unable to apply for jobs as the mandatory registration process has remained stalled for years. She added that the online registration portal has not been functional, preventing candidates from applying even when posts are advertised.

She said the delay has left trained youth in uncertainty despite completing their professional education, calling it a major administrative lapse affecting employment in the health sector.

The PDP chief said the authorities’ lack of response has put the careers of skilled graduates at risk, despite paramedical staff being essential to hospital and healthcare services.

Urging immediate government intervention, Mehbooba called for restoration of the online portal and clearance of pending registrations. She said prolonged delays not only harm individual careers but also affect healthcare delivery by keeping trained personnel out of service.

She added that the issue has remained unresolved for years and urged the administration to ensure eligible candidates are not denied employment due to procedural failures.
