Party leaders and workers assembled in large numbers, raising slogans against the government and accusing it of reneging on major welfare commitments.

The protesters highlighted issues such as the non-implementation of 200 units of free electricity, shortage of kerosene, and irregular supply of LPG cylinders and petrol, claiming that public concerns were being overlooked.

Senior PDP leaders said the rising cost of living and shortages of essential commodities have increased hardship for the people.

They warned of intensifying their agitation if the issues are not addressed, asserting that the government must be held accountable for its commitments.
