A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) worker was critically injured after shot at by unknown gunmen at Zungalpora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday late evening.
Reports said that unknown gunmen fired upon the PDP activist identified as Mohammad Jamal Bhat in Zungalpora area of Kulgam, leaving him critically wounded.
An official said that he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment with multiple bullet wounds and his condition is stated to be critical.
Soon after the incident, a joint team of forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area to nab the assailants.
