A ruling PDP MLA had to flee from a marriage ceremony in his constituency after other invitees and locals objected to his presence and raised slogans.
Reports said that the Member of Legislative Assembly from Batamaloo constituency of Srinagar, Noor Mohammad Sheikh, made a hasty retreat from a wedding party following protests in Zainakote area in city outskirts.
They said the protestors chased him along with his security personnel from the function.
The reason behind the protests against the MLA was not immediately known.
