National Conference General Secretary, sitting MLA and party’s candidate from Khanyar constituency Ali Mohammad Sagar Monday filed his nomination papers from Khanyar Constituency in front of the Returning Officer Khanyar at the Sales Tax Complex in Solina. Sagar was taken to Solina in a road-rally by his supporters. The NC General Secretary was accompanied for the filing of the nomination papers by NC Spokesman Junaid Azim Mattu, NC Provincial Youth President Salman Ali Sagar, various senior officer bearers of the party and his supporters.
After filing his nominations, Sagar addressed a gathering at Peer Dastageer Sahab (RA) in Khanyar and also conducted a road show in the constituency.
Speaking at the public meeting in Khanyar, Sagar said that those parroting about healing touch and human rights today were led by the same Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who as the Home Minister of India lorded over numerous massacres, many of them in Shehar-e-Khaas like the Gawkadal Massacre, the Mashali Mohalla Massacre and the Hawal Massacre. “Mufti Sahab don’t you remember that you painted our streets and roads with the blood of our children when you became the Home Minsiter of India? It was none other than Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who sent Governor Jagmohan to J&K despite repeated protests by Dr. Farooq Abdullah who eventually resigned as the Chief Minister when Mufti ended up sending Jagmohan here”, Sagar said.
Lashing out at PDP for fielding tainted, corrupt and anti-social individuals as its candidates from Shehar-e-Khaas, Sagar said that PDP had a plan to hand over the historic city of Saints to thieves and notorious elements who are infamous for their black deeds. “We will not allow you to pollute our politics and our State by auctioning it off to the highest bidders who have amassed their wealth by embezzlement, fraud and misappropriation. We will not allow you to walk the same streets of Shehar-e-Khaas that you painted with the blood of our children and young boys. National Conference is a political institution that has rendered thousands of sacrifices for the nation and the interests of J&K and we will continue to safeguard those sacrifices and those aspirations with our blood. We didn’t wage a decades long, valiant struggle against tyranny and oppression so that Mufti Sayeed and his band of corruption specialists could one day pollute our historic city. The coming elections will see the reiteration of our bond with all of you and we are sure that the people will repose their faith in their own National Conference”, Sagar said.
NC Spokesman Junaid Azim Mattu also addressed the public meeting at Peer Dastageer (RA) Sahab in Khanyar and asked the youth to wage a war of morality and enlightenment against thieves, corruption specialists and goons that have been fielded by PDP.
