To lodge protest against failure of the State Government to take appropriate action in the BOPEE scam, activists of Peoples Democratic Student Union (PDSU) today staged a demonstration. The protest demonstration was started from GGM Science College and passed through different localities of the city. Students from all colleges participated in the demonstration and shouted slogans against State Government for its failure.

According to a statement issued to KNS, while speaking on the occasion, PDSU leaders said that during the last five year Omar Abdullah Government has done nothing for the unemployed educated youth. They regretted that instead of fulfilling promises which were made with the youth during 2008 Assembly elections, this regime has been indulged into deceitful tactics to befool them.

They said that BOPEE scam was an example how this government been depriving meritorious and deserving students of their genuine rights. They said that main accused in the BOPEE scam was given extension thrice by the State Government which authenticate our allegations that some higher ups were also involved in this scam.
