‘Peace Elusive in Sub-Continent till Kashmir Issue is Resolved’

Pakistan administered Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhary Abdul Majeed Wednesday said that peace in the sub-continent will remain elusive until the issue of Kashmir is not resolved, Radio Pakistan reported.

The report said that Chaudhary hailed Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for adopting “loud and clear stance on Kashmir” during his address to the joint session of AJK Legislative Assembly and Council. “India should positively respond to the sincere efforts of Pakistan for resolving the longstanding dispute.”

Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Assembly and PML-N Pakistan administered Kashmir President Raja Farooq Haider Khan also lauded Nawaz Sharif for taking keen interest in the development of the region, the report added.

He said, “the address of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to the Joint Session on Solidarity Day has boasted the morale of Kashmiris, besides giving a new impetus to the Kashmir liberation struggle.”
