SRINAGAR: Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, has announced the successful and tranquil conclusion of Friday prayers, presided over by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq of the Hurriyat Conference (M), at the historic Jamia Srinagar Masjid.
Speaking to reporters, Bidhuri attributed the peaceful outcome to the ongoing peace process. He commended the efforts of various individuals and agencies that facilitated this decision, emphasising the equal role of every citizen in society.
Bidhuri also highlighted societal challenges, notably the issue of drug menace, and underscored the collective responsibility, including that of religious leaders, in addressing such concerns. (KNS)
