SRINAGAR: A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a speeding Tata mobile vehicle in the Frestbal area of Pampore, Pulwama district, officials reported on Saturday.
According to the officials, the Tata mobile, with registration No JK01N-1876, collided with Fayaz Ahmad Ganie, son of Gh Hassan Ganie from Gundbal, Pampore. The accident resulted in severe injuries to Ganie.
He was shifted to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Pampore for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
The police have initiated an investigation and registered an FIR at the Pampore police station.
“Efforts are underway to locate the driver of the Tata mobile,” the official said.
