SRINAGAR: A 32-year-old man was crushed to death by a speedy tipper on a national highway in Pattan area of Baramulla district on Wednesday evening.
Quoting an official news agency KNS reported that a speedy tipper hit a pedestrian on the national highway.
He said that soon after the incident locals rushed to the spot and evacuated the injured to a nearby hospital, however, he succumbed on way to the hospital.
He identified the deceased as Maqsood Ahmed Bhat (32) son of Mohammad Asadullah Bhat of Sagipora Sopore.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and an investigation has been taken up.
