SRINAGAR: A 55-year-old pedestrian was killed in a road accident in Sholipora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday.
An official told news agency KDC that an elderly man was hit by a speedy motorcycle bearing registration number JK04C-2902 near Sholipora area of Budgam, leaving him critically injured.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital from where he was referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was identified as Ghulam Mohammad Lone son of Juma Lone, a resident of Haknipora Budgam.
Meanwhile, Police have taken cognizance of the incident and investigations are on.
