While terming it as baseless, police Wednesday refuted the allegations that the finance minister Abdul Rahim Rather’s cavalcade was intercepted by people at Humhama.
According to District police authorities, Abdul Rahim Rather chaired a meeting of the District Administration at Budgam and took stock of law and order and availability of essential commodities in the district
“The meeting was attended by the top police as well as civil administration officers of the district. The Hon’ble Finance Minister after chairing the meeting left for Jammu and there was no untoward incident on his way from Airport to Budgam and back,” read the police statement.
