Terming the continuous massacre of youth by the government forces in Kashmir as highly condemnable, Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Monday said that anti-human black laws like AFSPA and the “license under such laws to kill freely, was a deep conspiracy hatched to curb the ongoing movement in Kashmir”.

Mirwaiz was addressing people at Narbal where he expressed solidarity with the father and other family members of the slain Suhail Ahmad Sofi, a young and promising student, who was killed in the Police firing on Saturday morning, an amalgam statement said.

On this occasion a protest procession was brought out from Narbal Jamia Masjid to Main Chowk Narbal.

Pertinently, Hurriyat (G) chairman and JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik too attended the condolence meet and all the three senior resistance leaders addressed the public from one platform.

In the main Chowk of Narbal while addressing the protest rally Mirwaiz while paying rich tributes to martyr Suhail Ahmad Sofi and all the martyrs of the movement, said, “the BJP and other Pro-Indian parties of Kashmir were equally and jointly engaged in the efforts of weakening the resistance movement of Kashmir, however, commitment of the people of Kashmir and especially, that of the young generation towards the movement will not allow them to succeed.”

Mirwaiz further said that killing of Kashmiris on one pretext or the other and imposition of restrictions on resistance leadership day in and day out is done with the purpose to get the people on their knees and make them give up their resistance.

“The tactics of suppression and oppression is not going to change the fundamental realities of Kashmir issue nor is it going to put the issue under the carpet for ever,” he said.

Mirwaiz, the statement said, announced, “the people of Kashmir are united and one in pursuing their goal and the mission of martyrs would be taken to its destination with complete unity of purpose and commitment.”

“The settlement of Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes of the people was imperative for the establishment of durable peace in Kashmir. Indian establishment and their partners in the state have tried every possible method of oppression on Kashmiris but still not only Kashmir issue stands as a stark reality but because of the huge sacrifices offered by the people and because of the sensitivities attached to it, international communities’ considers the resolution of this issue as an important factor for the establishment of peace in South Asia,” Mirwaiz maintained.
