Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Thursday said that in just a week, people of Kashmir have twice rejected India and its puppets,
“ Today, once again, the negligible participation of people in sham voting process is a verdict against India and its stooges. People of Budgam must be felicitated for what they have done. They have set an example that should be followed in letter and spirit by other districts where this drama will be conducted in the future,” she said in a statement.
She said that the whole district of Budgam was turned into a military garrison and curfew-like situation was created.
“ Despite coercion, only 1.93 percent people cast the vote. That means a meagre 679 persons voted among 35165-odd population,” she said.
“No vote was cast at 27 centres, at Dooniwari, Ali Mohammad Dar of NC brought his supporters and cast the vote and at a polling booth in Nasrullahpora, PDP’s Waheed Para brought in his supporters and they voted. This is how they managed this much of percentage. The families of the activists associated with the pro-India parties were the only people who voted,” she said.
“This is a verdict that pro-India politics and the politicians who follow it, has been rejected and the vote of Kashmiri people is for freedom and for Pakistan,” she said. “The outcome is a referendum,” she added.
She said that a local journalist tried to expose different sinister tactics used by the pro-India politicians to stage fake voting. “This journalist was threatened and was told that he will be killed if he exposes the voting drama, This is how these people abuse power and stop the truth from coming out,” she said.
“The outcome is a referendum.”
She said the resolve of people of central Kashmir is praiseworthy as they have set an example for rest of JK to follow.” The people of central Kashmir have shown utmost respect to those loved ones who were martyred by Indian forces. Now people of north and south Kashmir must follow this path and reject India and its policies,” she added.
She said that this day is the victory for the pro-resistance people of Jammu and Kashmir. “I congratulate the people for rejecting India and its stooges. It is a matter of great satisfaction and happiness for us,” she added.
“The pro-India puppets should have read the writing on the wall and should have joined resistance movement but they are too shameless and are blinded by the lust for power,” she added.
