SRINAGAR: The government informed the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly that the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Hariganiwan serves approximately 21,500 residents and is equipped with essential healthcare facilities.
Replying to a question by MLA Mian Mehar Ali, the Health and Medical Education Minister said the double-storeyed PHC provides OPD and IPD services, laboratory, X-ray, immunization, and a casualty room.
The Minister added that the nearest healthcare facilities are SDH Kangan, 11 kilometres away, and PHC Gund, 10 kilometres away, both operational round the clock.
On the demand to make PHC Hariganiwan functional throughout the day, the government said feasibility will be examined as per applicable norms.
