SRINAGAR: Vice President of Youth National Conference, Jammu Province, Rajeshwer Singh said that the water supply has remained disrupted for the months as all the wards of Samba district have been facing the issue of water scarcity.

In a statement, Rajeshwer Singh said that a large number of people alleged that drinking water is not available in their wards from the last several months.

“Due to paucity of water, people have been deprived of even bathing, washing clothes and utensils and even cooking food,” he said.

“Due to the non-availability of water in this scorching heat is making the survival for humans as well as animals tougher,” he added.

Residents of the wards have complained several times to the PHE department officials regarding the matter, but nobody paid heed to their problems.

He appealed to the government and the administration that drinking water should be made available to them at the earliest.
