Director General of Police (DGP), Ashok Prasad inspected Police Headquarters (PHQ) and other moving police establishments, which resumed functioning in the summer capital here this morning, following bi-annual durbar move.

As per a statement Prasad has expressed his satisfaction over the advance arrangements made for smooth re-opening of the offices on the occasion of durbar move. The DGP has said that efforts need to be followed continuously to bring more efficiency in day-to-day working. He has said that quick disposal of the matters related to the strengthening of subordinate units should be ensured at PHQ level which would help to bring fruitful improvements in their working also.

While visiting other moving police establishments, DGP interacted with the officers of these wings. Later, the DGP held a meeting of senior police officers at PHQ and discussed various issues related to the professional policing. He was briefed about the progress achieved on different fronts of policing in the state. He has instructed the officers to maintain close rapport at all levels to keep the law and order maintained.

Urging the officers to work with greater zeal for achieving desired results in different areas of policing, DGP asked for major thrust to be given to public service and all matters related to the common people settled on priority, as the people have pinned their expectations with the men in khaki. He said that while making police bandubast, it should be ensured that people do not face any inconvenience during their day-to-day activities.
