As the tragic road accidents are widely being witnessed in J&K from last many months and around sixty people have lost their lives including women and children till now. This time a pilgrim on way to Amarnath cave met with an accident and sustained injuries on Srinagar-Jammu highway in state’s Ramban district.

According to media reports, a pilgrim was today injured after a vehicle he was travelling in, was hit by a shooting stone in Ramban. The shooting stone rolled down from a hilltop and hit the vehicle (Tavera), resulting in injuries to the pilgrim.

Soon after the accident, the pilgrim was subsequently shifted to a nearby hospital for the treatment.

Pertinently, from last many months around sixty people lost their lives in tragic road accidents in J&K. As today was the 9th day of the annual Amarnath Yatra, around 5,000 people leave for the Yatra every day from Jammu Yatri Niwas.
