A pillion rider died while a motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in a road accident in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
An official said that two Uri residents were riding the motorcycle when it met an accident near Mohra Uri.
The deceased have been identified as Tahir Nazir 21, son of Nazir Ahmad a resident of Udoosa, while the injured has been identified as Anayat Ahmed Chachi of Garkote, said an official.
He said that they were on way to Uri from Baramulla when the accident took place.
The injured was shifted to Srinagar hospital in critical condition for treatment.
