SRINAGAR: An aircraft carrying Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar met with an accident on Wednesday morning while attempting to land in Baramati, Maharashtra, India Today reported.
The 66-year-old leader sustained injuries in the incident and was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Reports said that Ajit Pawar’s security personnel were also on board the aircraft when the crash occurred near the Baramati airport.
Footage from the scene showed debris scattered across the area, with flames and thick smoke rising from the damaged aircraft.
