SRINAGAR: To give a boost to BJP’s campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and several top Union Ministers are likely to hold massive rallies in Jammu and Kashmir in December this year and January next year.

A top BJP leader in J&K, who is aware of the development said that PM Modi will address a massive rally in Anantnag in December, where over 2 lakh people are expected to attend the gathering.

He said that PM Modi and Amit Shah will address rallies in J&K to boost BJP’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls that are scheduled to be held in April-May next year.

The BJP leader said that PM Modi will also inaugurate Out Patient Department of AIIMS at Awantipora during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir.

“We have requested top brass of BJP including PM Modi and Amit Shah, who are party’s star campaigners to hold rallies in J&K ahead of the Lok Sabha polls and we have got a green signal as well,” he said.

The BJP leader said that Amit Shah as part of this campaign program will address massive rallies in Uri, Karnah and Poonch, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will address a rally in Srinagar. “The rallies are expected to be held in December and January as dates are yet to be finalised,” he said.

He also said that Union Minister for Roads and Highways and Transpor, Nitin Gadkari is expected to address massive rallies in Rajouri, Poonch, Shopian, Kulgam and Pulwama districts, while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to hold rallies in Gurez and other north Kashmir areas.

The BJP leader also said that Nitin Gadkari has also announced Rs 12,000 crore fund for Mughal Road.

“We are also preparing to hold massive rallies in Jammu region where these top leaders are expected to visit in the month of December and January as part of the party’s campaign program for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls,” he said.

Confirming the development, BJP’s J&K unit president Ravinder Raina told news agency KNS that PM Modi, Amit Shah and other top ministers are expected to address massive rallies in December and January, however, the dates are yet to be finalised but

He said that they recently met Amit Shah in New Delhi, where they requested the top brass to hold rallies in Jammu and Kashmir.
