SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in China on Saturday, marking his first visit in over seven years.
The trip gains added significance against the backdrop of a recent deterioration in India-U.S. relations, spurred by Washington’s tariff policies.
PM Modi is in China to attend the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), which will take place on August 31 and September 1. The summit, seen as a key platform for regional cooperation, is expected to address pressing global and bilateral issues.
