PM Narendra Modi Tuesday called CM Mehbooba Mufti and congratulated her for taking over as chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
Informed sources said, Modi—who returned home after touring Saudi Arabia—called Mehbooba today to convey his congratulatory message to her on crowning.
“CM Mehbooba asked PM Modi about the response of his visit from the foreign tour,” the informed sources said. “PM Modi told CM Mehbooba that his visit triggered a great response in Arab countries, which wasn’t seen earlier.”
