Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condoled the loss of lives in Kishtwar road accident and termed it a “heart-wrenching” incident.
The accident occurred when a minibus rolled down a hilly road and fell into a deep gorge, resulting in the death of around 39 people and many are critically injured.
“The accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar is heart-wrenching. We mourn all those who lost their lives and express condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover at the earliest,” Modi tweeted.

Earlier, besides top lawmakers of the valley, Governor Satya Pal Malik also condoled the deaths and announced relief to their families.
