SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the integrated development project of the Hazratbal shrine virtually from Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium on March 7. Furthermore, PM Modi will also inaugurate the Sonamarg ski drag lift in Ganderbal district.

Hazratbal, one of the most esteemed Muslim shrines in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar has been developed under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD).

PM Modi is also set to unveil 42 new tourist destinations and launch nine tourism projects, alongside the ‘Chalo India’ campaign, aimed at engaging the Indian diaspora worldwide.

Additionally, PM Modi will distribute appointment letters to 1,000 job aspirants and engage in virtual interactions with beneficiaries of various schemes at the district level. He is also expected to inaugurate the holistic agriculture development programme during his visit.

Meanwhile, a high alert has been sounded across Srinagar while police, CRPF and other security agencies are ensuring close synergy to make the rally a smooth event. Even though the Bakshi Stadium will be open for the general public, security has been intensified across the city.

This will be the first visit of PM Modi to Kashmir after abrogation of article 370 in August 2019. He visited Kashmir in February 2019. PM Modi recently visited Jammu on February 20 and inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs 32000 Crore.
