Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir early next month for the two-day visit.
While indications suggest that the visit may take place on November 6, the final date will be made public after the late-afternoon meeting between Chief Minster Mufti Sayeed and the Prime Minister today. Mufti has already invited the Prime Minister for his visit, reports said.
Apart from formally throwing open the Baglihar-II, informed sources said the PM will announce the financial package for the state. The two governments in Srinagar and Delhi took almost half of the year in reaching a consensus over the quantum of the package and its utility.
