SRINAGAR: In light of the Prime Minister’s visit to Srinagar on March 7, the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) on Monday urged the district administration Srinagar to assist 10th and 12th standard candidates in reaching their respective examination centres while adhering to all safety protocols.

In a communication addressed to the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, the CBSE regional officer highlighted that the CBSE class 10 and 12 2024 annual examinations are being conducted nationwide. It was further informed that a major rally featuring the Prime Minister is scheduled to take place in Srinagar on March 7, 2024, coinciding with the ongoing examinations.

The list of examination centres in Srinagar includes Army School Badami Bagh Cantt Srinagar, JK Delhi Public School Pantha Chowk Srinagar, JK Minto Circle English Medium High School Srinagar, JK J N V Ganderbal Hatbara Srinagar, KV NO 1 Srinagar, and KV NO 2 AFS Srinagar.

“It is estimated that approximately 824 candidates from Class 10 and 10 candidates from Class 12 from across Srinagar will be appearing at these centres,” the communication stated.

The CBSE further notified that the examination timings are from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, with candidates required to arrive at the centres between 9:00 am and 10:00 am, which marks the last entry time.

“The candidates are requested to be assisted in reaching their respective examination centres with valid CBSE admit cards and all safety protocols duly observed,” the communication added.

It also emphasised that ensuring the arrival of candidates at examination centres while adhering to the safety protocols during the Prime Minister’s visit will be a shared concern for all schools and candidates. (KNO)
