Budgam police on Saturday arrested a drug peddler with contraband substance.
The spokesman said that based on a specific information, a police party of police post-Narbal laid a Naka near Chinar colony Kawoosa and during the Naka checking one person identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Pandith, son of Abdul Ahad Pandith, a resident of Chek-Kawoosa was apprehended with 140 bottles of codeine phosphate.
In this regard, police have registered a case FIR No 50/2018 under section 8/22 NDPS Act in Police Station Magam and further investigations have been taken up.
